in the mood for pizza


frutti di mare pizza – pizza with cherry tomato slices (forming the base) topped with mussels and clams and copious amounts of olive oil.

in case you were wondering what i’m having for my meals here…

to be honest, somehow the pizzas from any simple restaurant in italy is really that much better than the ones you find elsewhere. p’haps its the wood-fired ovens or choosing the finest ingredients, but the pizza never disappoints. and it summarizes italian cuisine pretty darn well – choose the best of familiar ingredients (there’s always a variant of tomato, olive oil and carbs in a dish) as well as classic cooking styles (pasta done al dente, pizzas in wood fired oven) to create hearty, home-evoking dishes.

hmm.. not that i’ve written it out, that sounds just like how all cuisines typically operate. haha..
